At the Supernova Conference in San Francisco, Nokia’s head of design direction, Adam Greenfield, discusses how cities are changing with the deployment of social networking and sensors. He says cities have evolved because cities provide the opportunity for reinvention and the ability to be anonymous, but a networked city fabric is also a threat. Greenfield argues that open data and regulation is needed and the public has a right to benefit from networked enabled cities.
